L.A. trio Moaning have recently signed to the legendary Sub Pop Records. Their debut single for the label 'Don't Go' makes an instant impression with its thundering drum beat, pounding bass line and abrasive guitar parts. Blending elements of brooding post punk, washy shoegaze and rampant noise rock 'Don't Go' is steeped in sadness as singer Sean Solomon pleads "I just don't want to forget, we're just lucky that we met." It's a short but perfectly formed introduction to Moaning's visceral sound and in less than 3 minutes we're sold. Moaning hit the road with fellow noise-merchants and new labels mates Metz next month with their self titled LP arriving on March 2nd. -HLMX
